The current order for hospital beds is your first time working with Egerton, isn't it?

Halina Śmieja: Yes, debut. We were setting up a new ward and these were the beds we liked the most - me and the management.

And what were your selection criteria?

I don't think I need to say that price is important. For us, the appearance of the bed as well as functionality were equally important, because the comfort of patients is the most important thing for us. That is why all beds ordered by us are electrically adjustable - patients can freely control them using a remote control and adapt the bed to their current needs.

Your ward is new to operation - what do patients say about the new beds?

Yes, everything is still in the process of commissioning, but the patients are very happy with the new beds. The most important thing is that they can get into the position that is most comfortable for them and they can do it effortlessly - all they have to do is use the remote control.

And the height of the bed? Does it matter for patients?

Yes, the height turned out to be very important because the beds we had before were too high and some women found it difficult to get off them. In the case of Egerton beds, the height is just right and women praise it very much.

For women, it's probably not only functionality that matters...

That's right. Besides, aesthetics are also important for the management of the hospital - the whole ward is new, it looks very good, so the new beds had to fit the whole.

And not spoil the impression of the new branch?

Exactly!

If you were to order similar medical equipment in the future, should it meet any additional criteria? Is there anything missing from the beds you currently have?

No, the beds have everything we need - they are nice, functional and make life much easier for patients. And by the way - which is very important to us - they can be purchased at an affordable price. So we will probably use Egerton again on our next order.
